A sports rehab journey with Gavin Peacock from FlippedSociety – I blew my knee out just before 2014 ‚Äď The injury was a full medial meniscal tear that the surgeon chose to sew back together versus take out. The recovery period is an awful 12 months before rigorous activity can continue compared to 6 weeks for trim or repairs. A broken leg would have taken less time to heal. Rehab Exercise 1: Clams with a band. Hip exercise? True! But great for activating and firing up the deep hip external rotators and the glutes to help you keep knee alignment in one leg stance. Many people have problems in the hip muscles with knee pain and weakness. This one is great for this stage of the problem to help you on the road to improving your knee control.

Next up: Rehab exercise 2 from Set A: One leg balance on. BOSU.
