Please note: I don’t respond to questions and requests for specific medical advice left in the comments to my videos. I receive too many to keep up (several hundred per week), and legally I can’t offer specific medical advice to people who aren’t my patients (see below). Hey Doc, if a pitcher has this injury any idea on a timetable for recovery?
A flexor pronator strain is an injury to the muscles and tendons of your forearm on the medial side, or side closest to the midline of your body, of your elbow. These are the muscles that attach to the bony prominence you might think of as your funny bone.
You typically suffer a flexor pronator strain as an overuse injury, basically from too much pitching. You can suffer a traumatic injury, though, that injures the tendons that attach to this bone.
This injury rarely requires surgery unless the injury is so severe that the tendon is torn off the bone. Most injuries are just strains, or stretches, of the tendon. As such, often rest from pitching and ice can often be sufficient to cause healing. As I discuss in this video, physical therapy can often speed that recovery and help the athlete return to the mound. Despite this injury usually not requiring surgery, it can still take the athlete six weeks or more to heal to the point that he can pitch pain free. Video Rating: / 5
Niya is a young German Shepherd sent to us from Las Vegas, Nevada, for our Rehab Board & Train program. She was dog reactive (barking and lunging at dogs on leash) and lacked good social skills with dogs off leash. She also didn’t focus or obey commands around distractions.
Watch her transformation!
Valor K9 Academy is a small, veteran-owned dog training company based in Spokane, WA and Chattanooga, TN. We specialize in puppy training, off leash obedience training and behavior rehabilitation for all dogs. Our goal is to create a strong bond between owners and their dogs through training. We believe that all dogs can be trained, and that training should be fun!
This program is designed for dogs with behavior issues: people aggression, dog aggression, fear issues, leash reactivity, separation anxiety and resource guarding (to name a few). We start with foundation training to build your dog’s skill set and instill trust, respect & confidence, then we slowly and systematically address the dog’s presenting behavior symptoms working towards a behavior rehabilitation solution. We do not use punishment-based, shock-and-awe training. Our methods focus on foundation work to address behavior issues in a fair and humane way. Program also covers basic obedience commands, treadmill training, FitPAWS training, agility and sheep herding. Includes a custom training manual, private lessons with your dog’s lead trainer, and 10% off all further lessons. For dogs of all ages.

The Salvation Army’s mission to preach the Gospel and meet needs in Jesus’ name without discrimination is in evidence all across the city of Las Vegas.
Not content to wait for people who are hungry or homeless to come to them, our team in Vegas takes to the streets to invite their neighbors in need back for a hot meal and a warm bed.
Billboard ads, bus sides, trash cans and bus stops also help spread the word that The Salvation Army cares for the people of Vegas.
The leader of our ministry in Southern Nevada, Major Kelly Pontsler thinks that speaking directly to the people the Army wants to reach – “street level, eye level” – will take down the barriers that keep people from coming in for help.
In this video, you’ll see the Army’s latest innovation in advertising to specifically target the people we’re committed to serving.

At Van Every Family Chiropractic Center located in Royal Oak, we provide KST chiropractic care for the entire family including children, babies, pregnant women, and the elderly. We strive to educate our patients and community on how to live healthier lives. In our office we accomplish this goal by using a chiropractic adjusting technique called Koren Specific Technique, or KST. This revolutionary chiropractic technique is probably unlike any treatment you may have experienced in another office. It is very different than manual adjusting, because there is no cracking, popping or twisting. Most KST chiropractic adjustments, in fact, will be done with the patient standing up. We use a chiropractic tool called the Arthrostim to tap the bone into place, instead of using our hands to manually adjust. This tool allows us to easily and comfortably adjust any bone, including your cranial bones. An overwhelming amount of our patients have had amazing results with the KST technique, including many who have not responded to being manually adjusted or have come to our office because they have “tried everything else” without success. KST is very gentle, but very powerful. Schedule an appointment with us at Van Every Family Chiropractic Center located in Royal Oak, Michigan to find out what our patients already know. We have had great success in helping the body heal from many issues. Chiropractic care using KST, Koren Specific Technique can help Headaches, TMJ dysfunction, head, neck pain, shoulder, arm pain, numbness & tingling, sinus trouble, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, asthma, indigestion, ADHD, colic, menstrual difficulties, pregnancy-related pain, car accident injuries, whiplash, muscle pain, back pain, sciatic pain, hip pain, knee pain, ankle pain, foot pain, ear infections, growing pains, bed wetting, stress, anxiety, infertility and so much more. We are confident that your experience in our office will be like no other. Everything in our chiropractic clinic is designed for your success; we have a very comfortable office, friendly staff that know our patients by name, an awesome jungle room for children, babies, and infants, progressive and caring Chiropractors that are receptive to each patients’ individual needs, a state-of-the-art spinal Thermo-scan to objectively measure your progress, and we utilize a breakthrough chiropractic adjusting technique, called Koren Specific Technique, or KST.
